Lewis Hamilton:”If that is the way we are allowed to race then I will race like that. Thus you are permitted to run broad even if a person is there and you simply get a warning flag, and you only require that once to potentially keep the guy behind you”
Sky F1’s Martin Brundle:”It was tough to phone [in Monza], and I’m really supportive of the’let them race’ doctrine so long as it is consistent and the drivers do not take liberties and spoil it all.”
Sky F1’s Karun Chandhok:”I really enjoy the idea of this black-and-white warning flag from Michael Masi and it was a great decision not to break up the battle but simply warn Charles he would not eliminate such a robust defence on a regular basis.”
Mercedes’ Toto Wolff:”I think there will be more cars touching, it is going to be common practice. My view is that it’s going to reach the stage where there is a crash and we’re going to bond out. Until thenwe allow them race”
